This Scarf is from our AW19 collection SISTERS which is a collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund celebrating the 25th Anniversary of sexual and maternal health as a right. 10% of the profits goes to the United Nations Population Fund towards supporting women and girls in need.

This illustration includes the Arabic word for Vanishing, FGM is a huge problem in Islamic countries around the world, as we’re drawn closer together it becomes everybody’s concern. This piece also uses part of the vagina shape to create a powerful character, the diamond overhead symbolizes the woman. These elements though stark and bold, subtly suggest an oppression that is often overlooked and ignored. It is almost a flag or cape of action.
